Some interesting facts about Denali (Mount Mckinley)

Denali is the highest mountain peak in the United States.

The peak has an elevation of 6,190 meters (20,310 ft).

Denali is located in the Alaska range. The area around the peak is a National Park (Denali National Park and Preserve). 

Denali is the peak with the third highest topographic isolation in the world (The topographic isolation of a mountain peak is the minimum distance to a point of equal elevation).

Denali is now the official name of the peak. Previously it was known as Mount Mckinley.

The native Alaskans always referred to the peak as "Denali".

Denali is a difficult peak to climb but it is still scaled frequently by mountaineers from around the world (permit required).

Denali is also the highest peak in the whole of North America.
