How many tigers live in the forests of Uttar Pradesh
As per the 2023 Tiger Status Report, there are an estimated 205 tigers in Uttar Pradesh. The following table shows the tiger population in the state from 2006 to 2022.

How many tigers reserves are there in Uttar Pradesh?
There are four tiger reserves in Uttar Pradesh:
- Dudhwa Tiger Reserve
- Pilibhit Tiger Reserve
- Ranipur Tiger Reserve
- Amangarh Tiger Reserve, which is a buffer area of Jim Corbett National Park

Among the four tiger reserves of UP, Dudhwa Tiger Reserve is the largest and has the highest number of tigers. The state of Uttar Pradesh has nearly doubled its tiger count from 2006 to 2022. From 2018 to 2022, the state saw an 18.5 percent increase in tiger numbers.
